The fully immersive e-commerce fashion store of FashionVault is created within virtual reality. Designed explicitly for Meta Quest 2 & 3, this virtual store offers a rich, hands-on shopping experience, allowing users to examine clothing in intricate detail, browse curated collections, and explore digital fashion NFTs displayed throughout the space.
This platform reevaluates shopping as a full-bodied experience. Far beyond the limitations of traditional online shopping, it places users within an exquisitely rendered virtual boutique where garments can be picked up, examined, and tried on using lifelike avatars.
From curated mannequin displays to digital collectible NFTs, every element within FashionVault is interactive, spatial, and stylish. This bridges the gap of luxury, technology, and convenience in one sophisticated digital space.
Solution
FashionVault guides users through well-matched fashion combinations, making it easy to envision complete looks. The platform resolves the impersonal aspect of e-commerce through virtual-styled mannequins and real-time product data. It also introduces NFTs into the shopping mix, enriching the environment with collectible exclusivity.
The real-time avatar try-on feature lets users see how clothing fits and moves on their digital body, while the interactive mirror station offers an additional layer of realism. Visitors enter a multi-faceted fashion space through which they experience products, explore collections, look at a live size, colour availability, and purchase options in real time, and interact with digital pieces like never before.
FashionVault’s innovative design increases buyer engagement by offering a visually rich, emotionally immersive retail experience that combines entertainment with commerce, creating a showroom-like environment for the future of fashion retail.
UI/UX (Design)
FashionVault’s UI/UX turns browsing into a flawless, immersive experience. It replaces grids with galleries, menus with mannequins, and static clicks with sensory moments, every detail created to delight and inform.
- Grabbable, Inspectable Items: Users can pick up clothing, rotate those 360°, change colors, and view size options in floating, subtle panels. This tactile, hands-on interaction mimics the real-world shopping experience with the freedom of VR.
- Full Avatar Try-On System: A single click brings the selected outfit to life on the user’s avatar. The clothing is rendered perfectly and styled in real-time, allowing users to have an effortless and accurate fitting experience from every angle.
- Interactive Mirror Station: Placed in fitting zones, the interactive mirror reflects the user’s avatar with their selected outfit. This enables natural movement and visual assessment, ensuring users can see themselves in the chosen clothing, just like in a real mirror.
- Teleport-Based Navigation: With a simple click, users teleport to different areas of the store, from men’s and women’s sections to featured collections, guided by elegantly designed floor-based markers, creating a smooth shopping experience.
- NFT Displays with Info Hotspots: FashionVault integrates digital fashion NFTs into the experience. Tapping on floating NFT pieces reveals detailed ownership info, creator profiles, and direct links to NFT marketplaces, merging fashion with digital collectibles in a unique and valuable way.

Developed using Unity for the Meta Quest platform, FashionVault delivers a vivid, responsive, and fashion-forward VR experience. The system integrates advanced and interactive real-time data connectivity and high-quality avatar personalization.
Every detail from mannequin styling logic to mirror reflection is added with accurate scale and style. The mirror rendering pipeline reflects the user’s avatar and outfit in real-time, creating a natural feedback loop for the virtual try-on experience.
Efficient performance optimization techniques, including asset streaming and LOD systems, ensure smooth interactions even within complex virtual store environments.
The platform’s modular design supports endless versatility from seasonal collections to marketplace integrations. This allows to fetch and render clothing data with low latency through API connections, ensuring low latency, even within detail-rich layouts.
The NFT Explorer module also enhances the platform by allowing users to interact with and learn about exclusive digital fashion collectibles, improving the retail experience.
